Started my own little flock for the kids. But I have found this real exciting. One problem we have had is we lost one of the Black Star chickens and would like to replace it. She was very friendly and came to you were the others take a minute to warm up to you in their house. Anyone know where I could get another Black Star a 1 or 2 old?? I have about a week before the kids come home and they discover one of their chickens now have angel wings..

well tonight my daughter R lost her polish chick "chub chub", who was about 1 week old. Checked on her one hour before & it was doing fine and then later dead. She always seemed to be pecking at the others, and she was very small. Hope to replace it with a silkie or polish feather headed chick, sigh.

I have 3 partridge silkie chicks available...$4 each for someone locally. They are only 2 weeks old (will get pics of them tonight, barely getting new wing feathers) Too young to determine gender
The parents are this blue partridge hen and either the buff roo or lavendar roo.

SAVE THE DATE: Monday, June 13th at 5:30 is the public hearing and City Council vote on the Food Producing Animals ordinance. We need *everyone* there! We're not arranging speakers for the public hearing part yet (we'll do that when it gets closer), but please plan on coming whether you want to speak or not. There will be an opportunity for an "everyone in the room who supports the ordinance, please stand up" moment, and we want to show City Council our numbers!!
