Hello Coloradoans!

My sister in Aurora is a teacher and her school incubated eggs without planning ahead of time where the babies would go live

Can anyone take 10 straight run, unknown breed of chickies... or a few of you take two or three? FREE! Even Tractor Supply can't beat that price. The are all large fowl. Probably not show quality, but I can't say that for certain.

Send me a private message if interested and I'll get you the contact person.

Greetings from the East Coast!

Laying groundwork:

My neighbor may not be up for splitting another batch of Freedom Rangers. Whether he is or not, is anyone in Denver interested in pooling on an order? Right now the FR hatchery's about a month out. Please send me a PM or email if you'd like to go in on a order or if I can piggy back on your order. About all we can raise at a time are a dozen or so. Here are the prices for different order sizes .

Thanks!

Coop update-

We still need to get the trim on, install the latches, paint the interior and finish the run but here it is so far! DH is working on the run today. We're placing the chicken wire first and there's about a foot of skirting to stop dogs from digging. After that's up we have another set of wire to install that's a bit thicker, then the latices will go up for astetics. I'm thinking of planting nasturshims around the base to climb the latice for a touch of color.

DH is under orders to get the chickies moved out of the house before I deliver, so he's gotten into a bit of a time crunch (I'm due at the end of the month). Any recommendations at this point or anyone see an issue that we haven't?

* I can't believe how much got done today! Everything is ready to go; DH just ran out of the second type of wire so he's going to have to wait to put it all together. But he did set it up for a good idea what the final product is going to look like.

I worked out in the garden today to blow off some frustration/steam from the last two days, and wound up with a sunburn. That was super. But, I am happy to report that I think I got all the things I wanted to plant taken care of and in the ground for now (things that will tolerate some cooler evenings. And I helped a friend get her garden in today too. (built the garden beds, lined them, filled with dirt, helped her figure out what was going ot go where etc. We'll work on plants for it another weekend)

As I mentioned above, we're looking for someone to split a minimum or larger order of Freedom Rangers with here in Denver. I may be able to brood them until about 4 - 5 weeks. Please PM or email me if you'd like to go in on an order or discuss.

Thanks!

She is still on the nest, but I thought I would have seen some hatching by now. I think I will have to go out and candle tonight.

If all else fails, I am going to place an order with either Holderread's or Sandhill. I need drakes from a new blood line anyway.
