Colorado

That's too bad.

Hopefully they have a guarantee, and will ship more chicks for you. Bummer.

Whitmore Farm has been great to deal with. They do guarantee, and they will ship again. I am wondering if I should try again. I really would feel awful if the next shipment fails as well. I know that there is bound to be some chick mortality in shipment, but I wonder if my location on the western slope is increasing that risk for the chicks. If so, I don't want to do this again.

Yay!!! Mine are peep-peep-peep-HONK-HONK-peep.....it is HILARIOUS.

I've got at least one little honker myself! I couldn't bear to sell them, they're so sweet. I also kept some Magpies and Saxonys, and I got some dark Campbells that I can do sex link Khaki Campbells with. I'm starting to hear peep-honking in each breed! Now I'm gonna have to move to a larger property!

Everyone in the Springs area with ducks what do you feed and where do you get it? I am trying to get a feed that will be good for everyone in my flock. The stores keep telling me that I can just feed everyone scratch. I was under the impression that that wasn't the case. Help?

Hey Gail, I've been getting my feed at Golden Feed for the last couple of years. My hubby has brought home some Ranch Way layer but the girls just don't eat that like they do the Purina products. So I stick with Flock Raiser or Layena and I like helping the little private businesses out when I can
