We had 4 chickens processed 2 weeks ago in Simla. Haven't eaten them yet. Only 1 was full grown. $3 per bird. Not too bad but they didn't do a great job cleaning them.

Bad thing about the CL ad for eggs. Probably is your competitor. Up the price. Did you put it in the right category? See where the others are located.

So much rain, hail and thunder last night, and the rain hit so hard that I totally didn't hear my son have a seizure. I feel so bad.

We have two pure Ameraucana pullets about 9 weeks that we have been told we should probably cull, as they were received with an URI. I am very sad, as we spent a small fortune getting them here. They are exhibiting sympotms and I don't want to infect my other three pullets (kept seperatly). I don't know how nor have the heart to cull these birds. Can someone help us out, advise how to do this humanely? Anyone else willing to deal with this and want them?

There were lots of bits and pieces of feathers stuck here and there. I guess I was expecting the basically pristine condition I get from the supermarket.

Anyone listening to Peter Boyles this morning? Usually he's pretty ok... But this morning...

What a goof. He's upset about the Denver chickens law, and fearful of CHICKEN ANARCHY, which will surly drag us back into the third world.

If he thinks backyard chickens are disgusting, I'd like to take him on a tour of the place HIS eggs come from...

Maybe some of the Denver folks should in vite him on a chicken tour...... visit one of the egg production facilities, then to some small flocks. If he still feels that way, perhaps invite him to leave the new 3rd world for someplace more "civilized".......

Got the I heart radio app loaded on the iPad and caught then end of the Peter Boyle's show. Holy cow! The level of ignorance was shocking. The topic continued on the Tom Martino show and he and his callers are just as bad!

I think it is time to write a RESPECTFUL and INFORMATIVE letter to these hosts and give them the REAL FACTS about chickens.
