Colorado

That would be all well and good BUT make sure they have their OWN pen and their OWN water and you'll be good to go. We got two "little" boys last month and OH MY GOODNESS. I don't even think they're half grown yet and they are the biggest slobs. They want to be like out dogs, lay at our feet outside, get petted, eat dog food, even run around barking yes I said barking like the dogs. It's funny but I can't wait til they get into their own pen. Lovem but theys gots to go (to their own digs)

Can't wait for it to start cooling down. But since I got the 4th egg today from the ladies I gave them a bunch of treats!

Ginger, how old are your hens? Just wondered when they started laying.

Hi Meg, they're almost 19 wks now. Got 2 first eggs on Sunday, when they were 18 wks 4 days. A buff has laid one each day, I think. Not sure who laid the 2nd one the first day.

Thinking about getting piglets in the spring too. Will make their pig pen between the girl goat pen and the boy goat pen. Will plant an oak tree to grow up and provide shade for them and then later they can eat the acorns.

Sold quite a few chicks this weekend, but still have more. (Four 1-month-old egger chicks) and (Other various aged egger chicks up to 1 year old laying hens).

Looks like I'll need some leg surgery in the next few months so many plans on hold until that's resolved. That's also why we're thinning our flocks.

P-Funk: Hubby looking forward to this weekend. THANKS THANKS THANKS!

Anybody interested in going in on an order of female Aracaunas? The min. order from McMurray is 25; I only want 10 or so.

I live in Salida.

Hi,
I am new posting here. I am in the colorado springs/Falcon area. I am interested in swapping and chatting with others in the area. We have over 110 chooks, and about 20 breeds/colour variants.
