More chicks or rabbits or igloos?
So we got our chicks...... All survived and appear to be in good health. 16 Ameraucana (I think they're actually EE, we'll have to wait and see), 25 Doms and 2 Naragansett Turkey poults; one of which has ADD. Now, we've never had turkeys before, but I seriously think one of them has ADD. Having had two sons with ADD, I think I know the symptoms... This one walks around the brooder being distracted by everything going on. He will stop and take a bite of food, then go off to see what the other chicks are doing. If he sees one run to the waterer, he will go take a sip, then get distracted and go off in another direction. I think he will either starve or be in great shape, because he is always walking around distracted. I saw him take two successive pecks at the food only once. This guy is NUTS!
Of the Dominiques we have at least 15 pullets, which puts us back on track for the numbers I wanted. I'm going to attempt to find time this afternoon to take a couple of photos.
