Wendy I hope everything is ok on the house. The fact that you and the others have had to evacuate is horrible enough. Please everyone be safe and take our fellow BYCers up on their offers to keep you and or your animals until things get better. I can't imagine how hard and terrifying this is for you all. Prayers and safe thoughts are going out to you all.

Hoping everyone is doing okay after a terrible night that has effected so many in the Colorado Springs area. I work for a small company in Colorado Springs with 14 employees. We have 4 employees that have been evacuated two that have homes in Mountain Shadows and they are waiting for the calls to tell them if their homes were burned in the fires.

Prayers with everyone and hope they can get this fire under control soon. If anyone has large animals that need a temporary place, please PM me. We have 160 acres. Our cattle are currently in summer pasture, so all we have on our property currently is our horse and 3 Llamas.

The Pueblo Chemical Depot has put out a depot wide email requesting anyone that may have room for evacuees and/or animals to contact a central number to get a database created to help house those displaced. many people working here are from the Colorado Springs area.... and some live in the evacuated area! So we are all getting on board to help!!!

Prayers with all!!

One of my student's family lost their house last night in mountain shadows and one of my employees most likely lost their new house also ..they moved in 7 days ago : (

My husband found this posting on the fox news site

I know some of you are working with the fire stuff so maybe we can catch this *** hole.

There were calls in on Friday night about smoke in Waldo Canyon. It is believed by some unofficially, that the fire actually started Friday and the smoke was obscured by the smoke from the other fires around us. As far as this guy who posted, I suspect they are looking for their 15 minutes of fame. He 'knows' who did it? Really?

I know I am a noob but if anyone affected by fires needs to house some of their chickens I can help. I am in Parker and can take 4 or so for you. The law says only hens, but at this point I don't care about that. Brian PM me.

Wendy, I'm sorry to hear you were caught in that mad rush. I hope your home is there when you return. Please let me know if there is anything you need.

We are ok for now. Watching the life feed on the KRDO website and it sounds like they have no idea what is going to happen this afternoon. The wind can go in any direction. I'm going home early from work to keep an eye on things and be ready to bolt if it jumps the highway. Thank you everyone for your support, it means a lot.
