Colorado

Here are some pictures of Rosemary
Bought at Kiowa county store on April 20th,
they arrived that day.
I purchased an Amercauna,
rosemary is very sweet and will sit in my lap for cuddles,
her/his feathers have blue in the black sections.
puffy cheeks
free to good home :)

Oh no! Please do post pictures! From what I've read sexing EEs is hard because they don't have any breed standard. My little girl has all the roo behaviour - running out first in the morning, bumping chests with the other girls, always interested in what I'm doing - but she doesn't have a comb or wattles or any of that at about the same age yours is. Until you get an egg or a crow I wouldn't make any decisions yet

thanks, but my friend was pretty sure... his coop was on the Take A Peak chicken coop tour and has been for the last 4 years. I am sooo sad to have to give away my son's chickie but I am walking on thin ice with my neighbors right now.

He/she is very pretty but I would agree that is a boy. If I could breed mine or even own a roo I would love to take him off your hands.

Could my chicks still be fighting over dominate chick? I would think it was Menchi, she has always been larger then the other two but I am fairly certain she is a week older. Sometimes the other two will peck at her (lightly) or when they are outside they will chase each other flapping there wings.

Ranchway at our Bomgaars is running around $15 for 50lbs. I just don't use it because my girls don't like it for some reason. I've heard others make the same claim. But obviously there are chickens who like it. But my girls started laying like gangbusters when we switched from Purina to Nutrena.

I've got my first hen with prolapse

My little Polish CJ. I just washed her up good and pushed it back in. Sprayed some Scarlet oil on her. So we'll see how she does. I know there are other treatments out there but that's what I had on hand. And I've used Scarlet Oil for many other things and it has done wonders so...

I am going to a backyard chicken raising thing this weekend at the botanical gardens, thought some of my fellow Coloradans might like to join me. The classes are curved to meet the need of the students and we can advertise this forum to some outsiders and make our little family here bigger. It is about 2 1/2 hours long.

http://catalog.botanicgardens.org/DateSelection.aspx?item=449 I hope a few of you can come.
