Until I went to the thread I was thinking it was going to be Chicken-vention, as in Chicken intervention.... ROFL..... for the folks who suffer from chicken math.....

We finally got some rain last night. Not real high quality rain, but rain at least. AND the high temp for us yesterday was BELOW 100* !!!!!

We had thunder storm after thunder storm roll in last night...one right after the other. Things finally stopped and settled out at about 4:30 or so this morning.

Nice cool 63 degrees at the moment.

I might even head back out to do some evening fishing later today.

NICE! I haven't been out yet, but will in the next little while. Variable clouds down here. Looks to be a nice day. I want to get the windows framed up and the door made and installed on the hen house today.
i still have to finish some repairs on the Camp gear, and put a few things away. Lots of helpers taking down the camp, so lots of broken poles, etc...

My chickie hatched, not from the eggs sent in the mail but from one of my own. However, that little chickie is pecking all the pipping holes around it. There is also one that is oozing a little and trying hard to come out and she's pecking that. What do i do?

i'm not sure. i've never hatched eggs.
i'd leave them alone and maybe check in with the people in the hatching forum. There are alot of veterans of hatching in there.

Let them finish the job...it'll take several hours, but once they have finished pipping all the way around the egg they will give a finally kick and pop right out. Let them dry and their wet down will fluff right up.

That is very cool. Congratulations.

Don't forget to post the hatch rate, I'd like to know how it all ends up for you.
