Yep...they laid them all! There are rumors of Easter bunny involvement, but I assure you, they are purely Leghorn eggs.

Didn't say that--I said they were genuine Easter eggs (not Easter Egger eggs), and that they were laid by my Leghorns.

here is my whole flock back when they were new to the coop, from left to right we have Squirt she is silver with gold markings, then Dottie, Annabelle, Sparky the cockerel, Maverik, and last but not least the very pretty Ziggy. they all lay various tones of greenish blue eggs.

A little food coloring turns Leghorn eggs into Easter eggs.

Jumping in to show off a few of my pretty EE girls even tho they are not the most flattering pics.


I’ll be incubating soon just to experiment and get the mechanics of it down.. unfortunately my EE roo passed during the winter but I do have a GLW roo. So, If I hatch blue eggs that have been fertilized by him the offspring should produce green eggs? - and if I hatch green eggs fertilized by him the resulting offspring should lay darker green eggs?.. is this correct? I’ve tried to research it online but I think I’ve looked at so many different articles none of it makes sense anymore lol.
