I have had my ear up to the bator a bunch, but don’t hear anything yet! My last hatch my first chick hatched around 6 hours after day 20, which would be about 9pm tomorrow, and I had 3 more hatch before day 21. Will be interesting to see if that pattern continues! Day 20 begins at 3pm, but I am taking a half-day of work anyway so I can be home around noon.Any peeps heard yet? In about 24 hrs is the same time i think my ones last time were zipping!!!
My incubator one hatched about 730pm so about 4 hrs into day 20. Not sure when the one under Ditzy hatched. I peeked around 9pm and it was already dry. But day 20 as wellI have had my ear up to the bator a bunch, but don’t hear anything yet! yes that is definately nice!!!!Got my two baby brooders set up! (Picking up my local batch of chicks in the next 48 hours also, but will keep hatches separate from them.)
Will clean out and set up the larger brooders this weekend once the new littles are settled.
It’s nice to have chicks ordered at the end of a hatch. Not that I’m expecting a single chick, but without a broody mama for company & protection I would hate to have a chick on its own if the hatch did go wrong for some reason.
WOOHOO!!!!! GO BABIES GO!!!!!!!!! I am just so excited! Tomorrow is going to be hard to NOT look the whole day! THIS is when having it in an incubator would be nice instead of under a broody! LOL I will have to live through you from noon on! LOL You will have to update me often. I have a feeling we will both have some (well me 1) chicks tomorrow/tomorrow night!!!!!I hear TEEENY TINY CHIRPS!!!
