Harp... where have you been?

Busy...busy....busy???

LOL.....

Yes Jeff we have been swamped this year, trying to get the new property put together and still run the farm, we see why the old timers never needed TV, just good food and a bed LOL

I'm the same way this year. You got an early start on me as I didn't get my first batch in until late may... but I'm staying extremely busy this year.

Do you sell your meat at the markets too? This is our first year for jumping through all of the legal hoops and are able to sell the meat and the eggs there this year. I can't keep up with the orders. We are booked all throught the end of August already.

Good luck... it's almost August believe it or not.... it's almost time to gear up for....

.... I'm not going to say it... it's too beautiful our at the moment!!

Harp-thanks for the grow out info and journal. I really did enjoy it and what you are doing. Do you have any further FCR and weight averages yet? I know that you are busy but if you do get a chance to post it I think that I wouldn't be the only one still following your progress.

Good luck 'til October. Have you raised your quantity for the summer?

Thanks, again this why I did this journal, to hopefully help people on their quest to their meat in their freezer or others.

I'll report more FCR's when I have them next batch will be towards the end of AUG.

Not yet as the summer is still here. We have to the end of OCT. to be done but so far on track to finish out in our quota and pre sales.

We actually sell broilers to our local market and we ship birds to others that would like to try some. We usually raise around 800-1,000 broilers a year.

This from post #25 on this thread, we noticed you don't ship any more? Any reason why?
