Colorful little birds - what gender?

Here are my two little chirpers. The one on the right is quite a bit darker in color and larger, too. Given what little I've read about sexing chicks I'm guessing he's a rooster. Any thoughts?

They both appear to be roo's. as for the breed I'm not real sure. I'd be guessing a gold laced Wyandotte but not 100% sure

Aww... that would be a real shame. Not allowed to keep roos in town.
If they turn out to be - what's a good way to rehome them? Craigslist?
Or can they be used for meat by the time they start crowing?
