Looks like he survived pretty well Rooster-red. I do agree that dyeing chicks may promote ownership to people who shouldn't have chickens, but our first chicken came from a "chicken scramble" at a local rodeo and look where that's gotten me! Then again, I have wanted chickens for a long time and had done a lot of research on them already, so when my 3 year old son caught one at the rodeo it was just an excuse to get more chickens!

There have been other threads about coloring chicks and I think most everyone on here agrees with the problem of people doing this. But not everyone has the knowledge to realize this shouldn't be done.
