Colorless Silkie?

Hi there,

I received some day old chicks from mypetchicken.com on the 20th of August, so they are about 17 days old. I ordered one black silkie, one Mille Fleur d’uccle, and one blue silkie.


Now I know the blue silkies are a mutated color so they can turn out blue, black, or splash, but mine just looks white! I’m going to try to include a picture, no promises, as this is my first post here! Will she likely develop some spots with her feathers?

It's hard to be sure but from the photo it looks like that chick will feather in as a splash or a very light grey blue.

I wanted to reply to you for an update. I posted this, and then a day or two later she started getting a few black spots in her fuzz. We got ourselves a splash!
