Thanks everyone for your insight. I decided to go plain wood but with a red mehndi patterns on the walls just to make it interesting to me and hopefully them. I will post pictures when complete.

Needs a front lip about ~6" high to keep bedding and eggs inside the nest.Finished, I think. Not sure if I need to make it more enclosed.
Got pics of coop?This will be sitting underneath the main coop.
I see the 'perch' but it won't keep bedding in and may not help them jump up without wing hitting sides of nest(which may or may not be a problem). I find they like to stroll the perch when choosing which nest to use. The bottom of the 10" entrance hole is 4" from bottom of nest, lots of space for bedding.There's a perchout front but wasn't able to bring it up very high.
