Maybe you can help me with one that has a lavender color with yellow legs? It's the one in the center. You can't tell in the photo the legs are yellow.BBSO?
Generally speaking a lav bird who has light legs/eyes is not only carrying the mottled gene but is "expressing" it via the light legs/eyes. Did you have the bird as a chick? Sometimes when they feather out, they lose the visual mottling. But as a chicks they would have been yellow with lavender/silver markings.
At least that has been my experience.
my orp flock is growing slowly but surely
ive been waiting for months for Saartje. theres only apparantly 2 people here with this colour orpington and they lived so far away it was near impossible to go and get her. but my darling man went and picked her (and her coop maat Yanna, a blue orp) up for me as a valentines present
)))))
my plan is too breed her with my big stud Goliath (barred/cuckoo orp split lavender) and i think that should make some nice babies
