Columbian Rock Thread!!!!

I love my Columbian Rock Cross!!! She is the absolute sweetest and I would recommend this breed to anyone.. so friendly! I hadn't realized they were rare either.
Serenity is ALWAYS hopping in my lap, or on my arm.. or even on my head!! not sure when she will realize she isn't a little chick anymore! LOL

About how many weeks old do Columbian rocks usually start laying? I have two thAt are almost 10 weeks so I'm wondering are they late or early layers? I no it will be a while still but just wondering. Thanks

Hi Jenna!

I'm still waiting for mine to start laying and she is 16 weeks! I expect to start finding eggs within the next month... I think now its the waiting game! I'm so excited!

here is my rock cross columbian at 1 month and two weeks. I think one if going to be a roo. her comb is coming in darker then the other.

a lot of production breeds start laying at around 20weeks, but purebred birds start a lil later anywhere from 6-12months
