In the Brooder
The chick in question is gray and white. We have been calling it Sam because as a small chick it reminded me of Uncle Sam the muppet. Originally we thought it was a rooster but we are at the 3 monthish mark and it's saddle area feathers are definitely still very fat and round. What are your thoughts? Is it possible it's a hen with an unusually large comb and waddle? For reference it's supposed to be a sapphire gem hen. Doesn't look like either of the other two. If you zoom in on the pictures you can see the feathers pretty clearly. (Gray bird with dark head in the background is one of the sapphire gems.)
I would also like to add Clyde (the black and gold bird is going to be a beautiful rooster, he was originally all black and he is feathers have been steadily changing for the last 2-3 weeks.)
