Comb issues

Can anyone opine as to this lady's comb? I'm hoping it's just dry because she and her Black Star sister are in their first adult molt at 8-9 months. Early age for a molt it seems,

but they started laying quite early too.

To me it looks like lowered hormonal levels associated with the molt. I do not think that it is favus.

their first adult molt at 8-9 months.

First adult molt comes at around 18 months.
But this age bird can have a partial molt their first fall/winter.
