Comb turning white help

[Lenny loves chickens]

If the comb is just white, bring her inside to thaw it out. Give her a few days for it to heal back up. For best bets, keep the flock in a cool, but not freezing, basement if available.


(Please note. The thawing of the start of frostbite is painful to the hen.)

Thanks so much I have them in the garage right now and they seem to be doing better i know that she got first bite between 2 am last night to 9am this morning...

Yep! If it's just from this morning, then you should be able to save her comb if you can keep her out of the below freezing Temps.

I agree that I would get her out the the severe cold and leave it alone. Don’t put anything on the comb and do not rub or massage it. It should heal without treatment. If it is truly frostbite, it may become more rounded off as it heals in the next few weeks.
