Combining aviary netting with electric net fencing

Any tips on adding aviary netting to a run that’s only boundary is electric net fencing (no permanent, hard fencing)? This run is in the woods so the netting will be attached to tree trunks. My main questions are around the netting draping down the perimeter-1. Should it drape? 2. If it does, should it just hang freely above or outside the electric fence?

Layered protection is always a better idea than leaving any coverage gaps. Without seeing photos of your setup it's a bit hard to say for sure, but I would bring the netting all the way to the ground INSIDE the electric fence perimeter if it's possible to do so.

I put bird netting above my fencing. I have a mix of permanent and mobile fencing. I have no issue with the netting hitting the electric fence because it is plastic and non conductive. I do not recommend bird netting in areas with snow and ice. I have spent my entire winter reworking netting after EVERY storm. It didn’t matter if it was less than an inch or 12 inches of snow. Ice would bring it down too. I’m searching for a better solution, but it’s a challenge as I have over 1/4 acre of run to cover through the woods. You could safely zip tie bird netting to the top of the electric fence.
