I'll have to share a pic of my "buff orpington". She doesn't have much of a comb either.

Is your Buff Orpington still combless? I have what I am almost certain is a Buff Orpington, but she doesn't have a comb! I thought Buff Orpingtons normally has single combs?

Yeah, the spot where her comb should be is red like a comb, there's just nothing "there".

Buff Orpingtons have single combs and white legs.
Buff Rocks have single combs and yellow legs.
Buff Cornish have pea combs (which can be very small and flat.)
Buff Chanteclers have walnut combs (which can be very small and flat.)
Buff Wyandottes have rose combs.
(Yellow legs for all the not-single comb ones I listed.)

All of those breeds would look very much alike, since they are all buff colored dual-purpose chickens. There are supposed to be breed-specific differences in body shape and amount of feathering, but that may not exist in hatchery-quality ones.
