Combs and Genetics

I am planning on breeding a sex link next spring. I want a sex link that is a good egg layer, economical feed bill. Im thinking a Brown Leghorn Rooster over some Dominique hens. My question is: What will their combs be like? I live in Northeastern Oklahoma where the Leghorns can get a frostbit combs in some winters. I have tried to find a rose comb Brown Leghorn Rooster with no luck. So in stuck withe the single comb Brown Leghorn rooster for this year. Can anyone tell me what their combs will be like?

If the female carries two genes for rose comb, then all the chicks will have rose combs. If she carries one gene for rose comb, the some offspring will have a rose comb and others will have a single comb.

Of all the Wayne characters, I think his Rooster Cogburn character was the most enjoyable. The movie industry tried to remake the film, but I do not think the second movie was as good as the first.

Forgive my ignorance but, since I have never seen anything but a rose comb on a Dominique, would I be correct to assume since I got my Dominiques from a hatchery that they should have two genes for rose comb?

I agree, Rooster was Wayne's best character ever! Jim
