My new babies. DH and I are driving out to Harrisburg, PA to get them, the breeder is meeting us halfway from OH. They are pedigreed French Angora bunnies, they will be the foundation stock of Pine Burrow Rabbitry

oh how cute, I had a stew bunny I bought at an Amish market once it got huge and I eventually found it a nice home. What do you do with them, are they pets or used for fur, food, all of the above?

i have a dumb question to ask lol i hope u don't mind my asking. i just got a black doe and a buck i think he is a tort and they r angoras. i bought them at a local poultry auction. what is the difference between french and english angoras? i'm not sure which it is i have they just said angoras. what caracteristics r different so i can tell which it is i have? i'm in

Hi,
The French Angora and Satin are the only Angoras without facial furnishings.
Meaning, they have a clean, WOOL free face, not their face is naked LOL
The English bunnies have wool all over the face and up the ears, these are the most thought of bunnies when someone thinks of an Angora, a fuzzy footstool, that you can hardly tell which end is which.

You'll need a slicker brush, nail clippers, small scissors, and a hair dryer with a cool setting for grooming your new Angoras. If you post pics I can tell you what they are.

My are for wool/showing/breeding BTW and I already have one at home and he is SUCH a doll!

yep i already have those cuz of my lionheads.

How old are they supposed to be? They look young.
They look Englishly in the face, but your bucks body shape is that of a French which is ovaly. They have too much fur up the ears to be straight French. Your doe looks more French than your buck. They could very well be mixed, especially coming from an auction.

If your doe is breeding age I would give her a nestbox just to be sure, wouldn't be the first time a auction doe was sold bred.

they r young by size i'd guess 6-8 weeks old. they don't have mature organs yet to breed. i was wondering if they were mixed or not because i haven't seen pics that match when i was researching them and i couldn't tell which they were. i see what u r saying about his body shape her's is same way.
thanks so much for all your help i appreciate it,
silkie
