According to the tracking number my last set of Serama eggs should be here tomorrow. I'll be setting them tomorrow night and then picking up the Barred Rock eggs on Thursday. After that no more eggs for awhile (I hope...lol.)

Oh my gosh, what are the ODDS????!!! Hahaha, that is the coolest coincidence. Our chicks are related, prob brothers and sisters!! Wow.

my eggs are on day 5. Trying soooo hard to wait for day 7 to candle. Oh who am I kidding. I'll be warming up my flashlight before I even get home from work!

So I called the girl I was supposed to be getting my Barred Rock eggs from and all her birds are in molt so no eggs for me. That leaves me with 16 Silkie eggs (due to hatch next Wednesday), and 41 Serama eggs due to hatch Oct 30th, Nov 2 and Nov 7th.

hey guys can i join in i set 13 eggs on the 12th of october in my home made incubator in previous hatches i had about a 70-85 percent hatch rate this hatch i have set 12 arucana and 1 mixed bantem that i had left after mr fox got all my chooks the egg is from my best broody bantem hen r.i.p girl she was the best mum ever she was very ltl. once she hatched out 13 eggs what an effert any way so i have 13 in today is day 8 so i will candle tonight to see how the look i will post some pics of my home made incubator in action with a couple of chicks hatching a few hatchers back

This will be really interesting.If we both get crappy hatches we will know why!haha.If yours do badly i will figure mine will too.Had one broke or leaked when i got them.Have another was leaking yesterday.How are yours.?Oh and 2 were all dark when I got them Might have been one of them that leaked.Someone said the dark ones this early are bad.I have them in a separate bator.Did you candle yours?How were they?
