I have noticed several "new" egg layers present in my nest boxes. smaller or abnormal shaped eggs.
There was a post a lil while back bout an egg just like that. New layer! I read the posts and they said it was a new layer that just passed the egg and the linning of the tract. No problems. they will grow out of it. Their bodies are just figuring it all out. .....Atleast that is the answer that was posted. (not an exact quote)
