I ordered a crow collar for my rooster today. Hopefully this doesn't end up a tale of torture for this thread.

Has anyone else successfully used one? I'm such a chicken, I'm afraid I'll strangle him.

I haven't, no.
I've heard that it's good to put it on loose enough that you can still easily get a finger underneath the collar, but I could be wrong.

I’ve never used one but I’ve heard good and bad things about them. I don’t know the person personally but I do know of someone near me that uses no crow collars successfully. From what I’ve seen they don’t keep it too tight.

Supposedly you're supposed to take it off at night and it's not supposed to be a leave-it-on-all-the-time collar like a dog.

Yeah... but it doesn't sound very fun. I don't even get to inflict any pain, the flies do it all.
