List of my steps


cleaned the tank with hot water
cleaned all decor with hot water
cycled the tank (3 days, I don't have live plants or snails.. cant get any, either)
let it sit for 24 hours with declorinator
drip acclimated, added a little bit of tank water at a time
floated the fish in the tank
released the fish
offered a bit of food
fish died.

Who would hate people bringing chickens to the vet???

I mean, I guess if it was a meat bird or hen that was for eggs only, but mine are pets. IMO, its the same as taking a dog to the vet.

Lots of peeps on BYC say that bringing chickens to the vet is a waste of money and they are not pets. Depends on the person.

I guess chickens are equivalent to dogs in my opinion.

And I sure hope most people aren't against bringing their dogs to the vet!

I took a nap with a blanket over my face and with a gallon of water in my hand. I just woke up and I feel a lot better. The pain was becoming so bad. I’m blaming this on heat exhaustion, I took a 5 mile walk downtown without water and it’s over 90° today.

Same here. I brought my hen to the vet a few months ago and they came to the car and took her through the window in a box. I was very scared, haha.

No one hate on bringing chickens to the vet!

When I bring mine, the veterinarians and volunteers get really excited, they did especially when I brought Joy who’s friendly AF. They loved her.

A couple hours...and unknown. Maybe it was sick when they got it?

Veterinarians can do amazing things. When I took Joy in she was lively, talking to all the staff (and back to a rooster in the back) and not visibly sick, but the infection was so excruciating that the vet told me there was pretty much no chance she would survive. Well I took home the medications, gave them to her through a syringe twice a day and with the vet’s help was able to guide her through a smooth and full recovery. She even lays eggs again!
I am thinking of you and Moony. I know how painful it is to loose a chicken, but they are doing their best to make sure that she will be okay, no matter how that plays out.

Yeah, I guess I'm I just have a bad experience with this vet, I've only been to them once before. My Poshy had a hip injury from falling off the perch so we took her to the vet, they said there was nothing they could do so we should just put her down, and we did. My baby girl. I'm just worried the same thing will happen again.

she died withen three hours . She sunk to the bottom and acted lethargic, then died
