I never said you do it, I said something you can do to help is support the people being bullied, and let them know no matter their name, or what clothes they wear affects who they are or how much they are worth.

Cause you said there was nothing you can do about it, but I'm letting you know ways there is!

've never seen anyone bullied for your name, but what you can do about it is if you see it happening be a safe space and support the person being bullied. Let the know they are valued and no matter what their name is that doesn't change who they are or how much they are worth.

Emma, this is some awesome advice - I really feel like this is how we should treat those who have been bullied, for whatever reason.
When I was younger, I used to be...well, I wouldn't call it bullied, as I know a lot of people have experienced a lot worse things than this, but when I was younger I still had a ton of trouble separating my English from my German, so my sentences often contained a ton of German words mixed in with the English. Because of this, a lot of people at my school knew that I was German, and I was constantly told that I was the enemy of our country and that I was a terrorist...they were referencing WWI and WWII.
I was too scared to speak up, and I really struggled with who I was...I think it would've been wonderful if others could have supported me like how you described, Emma.
And to everyone out there, if you're ever treated unkindly - bullied, yelled at, mistreated....know that you're not worthless, you are loved, and you are cared for, okay?
