Making a big stack. I’ll probably freeze them or put them in the bread box and they’ll be gone by tomorrow.

Well, sounds like I don’t have to worry too much about the egg eating! Thanks!

I’ve had a few issues with them eating eggs before, but since I switched to a much higher protein feed, they seem to have stopped.
From a 16% feed to a 20% protein.

The other (16%) I liked because it was local and organic, but they didn’t seem to thrive on it, like they do on the non organic, less expensive, higher protein one.

Mistake number two.

Double batch of waffles. I should have just made a single batch. Now I have a lot of extra batter after feeding the whole family. Guess I’ll be standing here cooking waffles most of the day.
When my grandmother made waffles she would make enough to feed a army and freeze all the extras and just put them in the toaster when the grandkids come by unexpectedly. 😊

I prefer feeding higher protein to mine too. They seem to do better on it.

I give my flock Nature wise All Flock 20%. The feed store always runs out of the stuff.
I switch mine a lot haha but right now they’re on Putin’s FlockRaiser which I think is 20 as well? Or close. I also LOVE a local brand Poulin Grains which has a Egg Production Plus which is 18% and soy free which is awesome. Comparable is Nutrena Hearty Hen but our store stopped carrying it. TSC picked it up but not always fresh haha but yeah. I love both. Best eggs ever on Poulin and free range lol

Do you use scratch? I have thought about using it just as a treat or to add to my flocks winter feed. I have chickens ducks and turkeys.
