Wish I could take him, unfortunately Feathers says no more roosters for now.

He's beautiful! Gosh I wish I could take him. My Silkie rooster sounds like yours, those little guys can be assertive. How do I say this...
Anybody want a rooster?
Eclipse, Starburst's black silkie rooster is super sweet with people, but unfortunately the girls don't like him in turn. As his hormones have begun to kick in, he continuously tries to mate the hens, and they're pretty terrified of him and will run away. Eclipse, with his ego bruised, will then run after the girls until he can (try, sometimes unsuccessfully,) mate them, either through submission of the hens or force. He's very, very sweet with people, although as he's becoming older, he might occasionally try to show whose boss, but a quick scoop into your arms reminds him of his sweet nature. Unfortunately, some of the girls won't come out of the coop because they're scared of him. (In their long lives, they've never really seen a rooster before)
He isn't show quality, (doesn't have a big crest, and on the shoulder there's some pink skin) but he's very handsome and we are willing to give him to a good home where he can live out his roostery life in peace and happiness
Thanks!
Photos of him, from baby to now.

We don’t need to get rid of him at any certain date - the schedule is pretty open for him.How long until you have to get rid of him?
Although, the sooner the better, of course, just so there’s less stress in our flock. We don’t need to get rid of him at any certain date - the schedule is pretty open for him.![]()
But we’re open to waiting!Although, the sooner the better, of course, just so there’s less stress in our flock.

I'll keep you updated! I have 3 bantam roosters of my own that I will need to start separating once all the hens reach egg laying age. By then they will all be mature, so I need to get it done as soon as possible as well. I'll keep you posted and see what happens. Hopefully I can get it up sooner than later. We don’t need to get rid of him at any certain date - the schedule is pretty open for him.![]()
Thanks, though I just don’t think the girls appreciate him. Also, I love the crowing, but our neighbors are getting a little annoyed. How old is he right now?
His hormones are probably just taking control. Once he gets a bit older and he's calmed down I'm sure he'd make a very lovely boy.
You can try separating him for a bit. Young boys can get a little hormonal, and sometimes really annoy the girls. But, as he matures, he should calm down and the girls will love him eventually. How do I say this...
