You might say that our small flock is a father/daughter project, one started last summer after my DW's science project sort of backfired (a long story in itself) from which my DD adopted three newly hatched cockerels and one pullet. We are grateful that we found good homes for the roos here on BYC. Since then we added five more pullets from BYC members.

We really love our chickens and just had to share. So, here they are:

First here's our oldest, a 7 mo old Partridge Rock named Buttercup, being cuddled by my DD.

Here's a fine 3 mo old Buff Orp, named Penny

who, like the others, gets spoiled to no end

we also got a Production Red, named Daisy, who likes to hang out with Buttercup, and always walks away from the camera:

Then there's Blossom, a 3 mo old Ameraucana, who seems to like people company more than chicken company I think. She'll jump into my lap every time I sit in the run, and sometimes flies up to roost on my shoulder, even when I'm standing. I really love her coloration!

Then there's our two 4 mo old EE's, Delilah and Honey. Honey's a bit smaller and follows Delilah around everywhere like her big sister. Delilah always runs up to me for treats first, and seems to be the quickest learner of the flock.

First, ladies and gentlemen, I give you Delilah.

Like Blossom and Buttercup, Delilah is an in-your-face, not-camera-shy, kind of chicken.

and here's sweet little Honey. She's got really interesting coloration... I guess one would call it Buff Laced... but I'm not sure.

Cute pictures, krtupie. I bet those chickens love being cuddled by a little girl.

Oh very definitely. and they don't mind a bit of TLC from me either

. Plus at 6', I make a superb roost for Blossom. You know I never thought of chickens being such precision flyers

, but she gets up there and under the cover over the run.

Your flock is lovely. I love to look at pictures of other people's breeds.

Don't you just love the EE personalities. I have 5 and they are all so sweet & cuddly.

Delilah is very unique looking. Is Bloosm a true blue egg layer Ameraucana?
