HAHAHA! Seriously, there are different squirrels? Ours are either spotted or have dark roots and light brown tips.

Um, yeah. If I saw that in my yard I wouldn't have a CLUE what it was. And spots on a squirrel? If I even knew it was a squirrel I would probably run thinking it must be rabid. And what's with it's tail??? They're supposed to be fluffy! Sorry, Deb, that 'thing' is just freaking me out.

Here's what our squirrels look like:

There's one that'll snug up in the crook of the tree and doze off... about ..ohh 7 feet? up from where the dogs are basking in the sun. Of course then there was the one that straddled the fence and nodded off... hope it was a girl... that one drove the dogs on the other side NUTSO... and the stinkin' tree rat just snoozes through it all.

Maybe he was an old squirrel, like dogs get gray around their muzzles . . .cute pic. Ole' gramps got too far from the tree and had to take a little power nap. Shoot, I get in a warm spot like that and I will doze off too. I am pitiful.

If you look closely at this pic, it IS spotted and I now think the sleeping one was a baby. Our squirrels look like this pic too.

Nappanee, Indiana has both black and white squirrels, and the regular brown ones. Weird.

What? The pic I posted? I don't think anyone in the northeast would describe our gray squirrels as spotted, no way. I used to raise and rehab grey squirrels, and I've held many of them, nursed them, etc. I have never seen anything remotely resembling spots on them. Especially as compared to your squirrel.
