Coming up on three months now.

Well. My girls (none of them) have laid for almost three months. I know the seasons are changing, but they stopped laying like, mid-summer. Maybe I'm just missing something, but. I don't have any egg eaters that I've seen. Alot of them are under a year and a half, so I know it's not molting. Now I'm blaming it on the the seasons changing. They've got great appetites...could there be something I'm missing?

Do you have them on layer feed or just regular chick feed! Layer will move them into gear!

No, they're on layer.


Like I said. Most of them are at least eight months old. They were laying GREAT, 6-8 eggs a day, until July.

Sounds to me like your chickens are on strike

I have never heard that age of chick just stop laying and never start back up. Are you sure they are laying in a hidden nest somewhere? Maybe you could put a little video cam in there to see if one of them is eating the eggs? I really have no other ideas on why they would stop??

I have searched the coop and run from top to bottom.

It's getting really confusing.

Nope. They were steady until after the 18th of July.

Nothing different...

I would say it was the hurricanes, but they stopped laying before then.

Every great once in a while I'll hear them talking alot. But that's it.
