Erminette screeched, bored sheer witless. She picked on her lesser cagemate, asserting her dominance without question.
She held one of her feet up, favoring it because the wire hurt it.

Violet stared in wonder at Erminette's quick escape and dreamed of breaking out for good. But she was brought back to reality as Erminette pinned her sharp beak into her back. Violet let out a raspy screech.

A man wearing a fancy black suit and tie walked into the Barn # 1. Followed by a girl with blonde shoulder length hair and a worker. "This noise is deafening" the girl cried over the clucks and squawks of hens. Her well dressed father nodded wrinkling his brow in annoyance. "So er is where we keep dem chicks" the worker stated. "I can see that!" the man hissed. "Do they ever stop that noise?!". "No siiiiirrrrr" .

Fluff shrunk to the back of her cage. She didn't even look up when she heard different voices. She just stared at the bottom of her wire cage. Seeing what was going on outside her cage wasn't worth the effort of lifting her head.
