Ok, sooo I don't want you to think I am a chicken rights nazi LoL but I do have a REAL interest in how birds are kept in your houses. I have co-workers who have 'family businesses" in chicken housing and that doens't mean I don't get along with them. They see their pet chickens adn 'different' from the commercial chickens they raise.
Do you have housing pix you can post and before and after pix of the chcikens?
How long do you plan to keep them before they are 'spent'?
What will you do with them after? Many groups take in spent battery hens (and one member here will be getting some this year)
I just want to remind everyone we are here to discuss the topic in a civil manner. No personal attacks. The author of the thread came here to answer any questions, I'm sure he wasn't looking for a bashing. He is a member of the forum like everyone else. We all have our own views and opinions, but would he really be a member if he didn't care for the birds at all?
Just a friendly reminder. No need for attacks or the thread will get locked and then we are all out of luck and answers will not be found.
Thanks
-Kim
VERY well said. I have brushed up the thread a bit and hope to not have to do it again.
7. No Fighting. Taking a personal conflict to the forum is unacceptable. "I'm right, you're wrong" threads and posts will be edited or deleted.
We all know this is a hot topic, and I sense the OP is a younger individual who is not yet privy to how many adults can treat each other over forums. I ask that we all remain respectful and take private disputes off the main board and to your PM boxes.
Furthermore, for the ones arguing/disputing, you know who you are and take this as an official warning before further action may be taken.
