Just to update this, my quails have been well and all the injured ones have healed in just a few days! I didn't expect that to happen so soon.
They seem to not really be eating from the feeder, but are instead eating from the floor. Is it better to just sprinkle the feed on the floor or use the feeder?

Ohh that's so great !!! as long as they know if there's no food on the floor they can get some at the feeder you could stop putting it on the floor
