communal nesting boxes?

I am building my first chicken coop and I am going to build 3 nesting boxes. I have seen individual nesting boxes with a wall between them and also a nesting box without walls between. I would think it would be easier to clean without walls, but do the chickens prefer walls?

yes they like a darker private space. I made mine 12''x12'' 18'' high for 1st row 7 across. Then the next lower(not pictured) row I did 12'' deep 14'' wide 18'' tall as I have some large breeds. the dividers can be shorter, just so they have their private space. This is the 12''x12'' that I built (18'' in front its taller in back) the dividers dont go to top ( for air flow) I am thinking about using a hole saw to put a vent hole in ends toward top

Thanks for the response. I like the idea of airflow at the top, it will make it easier to build.
