It's approaching point-of-lay for the new flock, and they're gonna need someplace to lay eggs soon!
I'm looking for plans for a roll-out community next box.
There was a link in one of the forums that had decent drawings I could work off of, but I can't find that post now! Help!
If I recall, someone posted about a larger operation (300 or so birds) in the wrong forum (or had a tangential question) and someone else sent a link from a (New Zealand?) extension site that had plans for houses that size, a good bit of info about business plans and economics of running such a faciliy, and there, tucked into the corner of one plan sheet was a great little drawing of community next boxes.
Anyone remember where that was? Anyone else have plans, or experience with community nests?
