Okay, so these babies are only about 2.5 weeks old, so I know it is too early to tell for sure. However, I have two "sibling" pairs, same parents, with very different comb development. Is it pretty safe to assume one pullet/one roo in each pair?
First pair, two OE chicks. The one on the right I'm sure is a roo, shows all classic signs, slow feathering, big comb for age, bossy, thick legs. So does he have a sister?

Second pair, two BLRWs. They look almost exactly alike except for the combs, so I'm not sure about this one. The one with the comb is slightly lighter than the one without, if that matters.

I also have three EE chicks, who I hope are pullets, but who knows with those guys! Here are two of them, my best guess is roo on left, pullet right.

And here is the third, couldn't get her (hopefully) with the others.

Also, one last pic of the one I'm about positive is a roo, the little OE, just b/c he looks funny! All chicken fluff, but acting like a tough guy!

Any "guesses" are appreciated! It's really just for fun, I know we have to wait to be sure. But the combs on the pairs are pretty different! Thanks!

For the Olive Eggers--it looks more like one is a single comb, and the other has a pea comb. I think it's too early to be certain on genders just from comparing those two unalike combs. I've had Marans pullets that have gotten startling large combs early on.

It also looks like one of your Wyandottes has a single comb. Again, I think it's too early to tell by comparing those unalike combs.

The bottom image, sure looks like a roo.

I didn't even consider that they may have different combs with the same parents! Well, so much for my guessing. We're just having a good time trying to figure it out. I am pretty sure the little OE is a roo, he just hits on all of the markers. All six others I have no idea! Maybe they will all be pullets! (ha, ha, good luck with that) Thanks for your input.
