Comparing the Maticoopx and the Manna Pro Nurture Right 360

I read a lot of reviews before buying my first incubator and I ended up getting the Nurture Right 360. I got good hatch rates, but I found it a real hassle having to continually add water to keep the humidity level right. I even would check it in the middle of the night when I got up to go to the bathroom :)- so when I decided to expand my hatching hobby, I bought a Maticoopx - and I couldn't be happier! You only have to fill up the water bottle every 5 days or so. No worries if you want to go away for the weekend - the temperature and humidity stay constant. Both incubators give good hatch rates, but the ease of use of the Maticoopx makes it the definite winner. Right now the Maticoopx is even less expensive than the Manna Pro.

How is the humidity levels on the maticoopx? I borrowed a nr360 and hated the lid (hard to get seated quickly) but otherwise liked it, while adding water is annoying it seemed to hold the humidity well right around 45%. Other bubble incubators I’ve tried, especially with bottles, seem to maintain 70% plus (or ten) no matter how little water I add.

It has been steady all the time - between 52-55. I don't remove the lid - I don't candle the eggs - I just leave them in and get rid of the ones that don't hatch at the end. But I have a really hard time with the NR 360 - keeping it in that range. Often it goes up to 60 - and then drops to 45 if I don't add water in time.

Regarding the NR 360 - which slots are you using when it fluctuates between 45% to 60% humidity?

Hi! - just the A slot. When I go into lockdown then I'm using both slots and it is easier to keep the steady humidity level
Still on the NR 360.. So you are using both slots when the humidity goes up to 60% and then down to 45%?

I don't know. I used slot A and it stayed around 50. Then for lockdown I used both slots and it just went up to 80% humidity. So I soaked the water out with rolled up paper towels and just used slot A the rest of the time. I figured that even a semi-dry hatch of 50% is better than drowning them.

I kept the vent wide open the entire 22 days. I do have a thermometer sticking in the vent which takes up a little vent space. Then the back vent (the round hole) there is a cord for another thermometer.

It was so weird as the humidity was solid the first 18 days and the temp fluctuated but the fluctuations happened on a quick enough cycle that the analog/dial thermometer stayed at between 100 and 100.5. The Govee jumped the most of course. ... BUT what is weird is that at the end I had to turn the machine up two degrees to get it to even stay at 99.5 .. I was pretty much done by then.. just thought I'd give the rest of the eggs another day or two.

When I watched videos of the NR 360 it seemed like the posters loved the incubator but I'm watching and not that many eggs are hatching. I just found it confusing. I got 29%. That is pretty lousy. I have photos of the eggs broken after the incubation and not sure if there were gobs of unfertilized eggs or if they started to develop and stopped. No discernable chicks. Maybe the breeder is just full of it telling me she often gets 100% hatch rate.

Hi again - I use the A slot for the first 18 days - but then A and B for the lockdown stage. The only reason the humidity fluctuates so much is because the water gets low - or sometimes I overfill. So I have to always keep the water level correct - which means every 4 or 5 hours I have to add water - and can't add to much or the humidity goes too high. From 22 eggs I usually get 17 - 18 chicks with the Nurture 360. I prefer the Malticoopx because I just set it and forget it. Just have to refill the bottle a couple times during the 21 days. I get a hatch of 25-26 chicks out of 30 eggs with the Malticoopx

Thanks for sharing. I bought an incubator after much research. I wanted one without a humidity alarm. Unfortunately, the IncuView All-in-One that I bought had three major issues that contributed to a failed hatch. Customer service was great, but now I'm gun shy on getting something else.

Hi :) I measured the NR 360 slot A and it holds 140 ml. It also, in my climate, takes about 48 hours for the 140 ml to be used up. So I started adding 70 ml every morning and it stayed super consistent. I was using a large syringe to measure.

I contacted the company for the ml of slot B and it was 454 ml. :) I wanted to avoid overfilling or having it dry up.
Couldn't measure it myself as the incubator was in use. So happy they got me the number.

Good info on the hatch result! Thanks! So I am suspect of the eggs I bought.
