Complete Mystery Chicken

A homeschool family found this chicken and needed to rehome it. I took it in and am completely baffled on gender or breed. It can fly. My son thinks is a hen, based on color and the sound it makes.

My husband thinks it’s a roo, because it has a spur.

It can fly. It flies to our roof.

It is a game fowl hen. Some strains frequently have spurs.

Agree game fowl or game mix hen. Looks alot like the feral birds we have around here.

many of my hens have spurs. it's a common thing in the hen world.

I agree, game fowl breed, definitely a hen. She sure is beautiful though! So small but such a big tail… must’ve been funny when you first found her on your roof

They are sweet and are attracted to our chickens which are kept in enclosed runs. Our neighbor feeds them so they do come around a lot.
