COMPLETED - Help Needed - Rank, Rate, Vote for the "best" Coop Pages"

What I was looking for as a perfect coop page was lots of pics, lots of instructions and hopefully a materials list. What I was getting out of the rating was to find the pages that if someone needed to build, they could go to that page and everything they would need would be there. There are some pages with a lot of instruction and few pics. Some with a ton of pics, but no instructions. Some have no real instructions at all. Some may have a pic.

For me to give a 5 I've been looking for th ulimate coops directions. There are a ton of 3's and 4's, but I've wanted more for a 5.

Yup, that sounds fine. We're not looking for the prettiest coop, but the pages with the best info, pictures, etc. Basically, which pages will be most HELPFUL to peeps visiting BYC looking for information on how to build a coop? A page with a couple pictures of a $5,000 beautifully perfect coop built by 20 experts may not be as helpful as a page with tons of pictures and info that was made from recycled pallets by a retired CPA.

Thanks for the note! We didn't specifically request it be limited and we can't find where to change the setting, but we'll keep trying. Very sorry for those that are trying but are unable to help rate the coops.... we're working on it.

It's still dark here in Australia so no time to take snaps of the coop and write it up. How often do you do coop ratings?

Nifty some of these are not coops. Found a wonderful bator though. I marked it 1/1, because it wasn't a coop. Will these go back through and be put in the correct sections? I'd hate this bator to be on the bottom of the heap. It's really nice and I think I'm going to use the dirrections for another one.

Debbz, we do coop ratings about every 6 months, but may start doing them more often. I have a help request into the engineers of that system to see if there is a way to open it up to more areas, but no word back yet.

wolftracks, if you find ones that aren't coops, could you send me a link to them?

I need to post the coop my family and I made earlier this year. Wont be posting any directions but will give a few pointers and tips. (heh, Learn from my mistakes to make the building project more efficient.) Mind you no one in my family is a professional, we are just exceptional learners, great with our hands, and blessed with a hard working mentality. I say this because its a sexy coop with a nice layout.

The post will be great for design ideas visually. Which in its own way is instructional. Most builds will be custom so a majority of written instructional post are only guidelines. For example, we came across an old warped 2 axle trailer frame for free. Written instructions on how we built it wont be very helpful. But basic tips with pictures should help peoples overall design experience. Any how have fun killing two birds with one stone, learning and voting!

I will from now on. I can't even find that bator again and I wanted the directions. Wonder if that means it's listed as a coop???? I'll send you the links from now on. I've found 3 so far, darn it.

I rated four just now but one of the pages seemed to have a lot of pics but they wouldn't pull up on my computer so it was hard to rate it ... and the system wouldn't let me submit the page without answering the questions about all four coop pages so I just guessed at it on that one. Not sure how to fix it though.
