computer malware virus???????

Can someone please explain the malware computer virus thing that is going to affect the computers soon. Also what can each indidual computer owner do to protect or keep from getting it. gloria Jean

There are thousands of malware an viruses out to date an many more made daily.



Run a good virus scanner an a good malware scanner an be picky about what you do online.

If you go to Snopes.com, it will tell you a place to go that gives you a green or red screen, depending on if it is on your computer. We did it and neither of ours had the malware because we use the Malwarebytes program and AVG as our antivirus.

Yes there is one that is suppose to replace your phone book sort of with odd num.s This will inhibit the use of the Internet. Or that's what they said on the news. I have malware virus and reg virus protection but this is suppose to be already here and waiting for a certain date to activate and throw everything in kaos. Someone please tell me more. That is the one I was talking about, the one Facebook has been on the news about, Gloria Jean. It's called the DNS virus. You do mean the one that is supposed to take effect on July 9th, right? This is what that site will tell you. Just go there and it automatically tells you if it's on your computer. They say go to FBI.gov, but nah, not going there.

yeah, I heard about this too. It was a gang of thieves that had put this virus all over to get passwords and the like. the FBI got them and put up a blocker on the Internet but they can't keep it up any longer so that date is when they have to drop it and if it's in the computer your computer will not go to the Internet. but when I went to the FBI one it did not show anything so I made me worry that I may have had it!!!!!! just checked it out, I am good to go!!!!!!!!

Thanks a Whole bunch, I do have malware antivirus and the other virus protection too. I got a green page. I wonder about the other cumputer at the other house. It does not have a malware virus protection on it. I will get my hb to ck it when he is in down there. Gloria Jean
