I have 9 baby chicks, 7 different breeds. They arrived last week as day olds. They all appeared healthy, vibrant and curious. The biggest and most active one was an Easter Egger. Yesterday I began to notice that she was staying under the brooder eco-glow a lot. While the others were trying out their incoming wing feathers, running from one end to the other, she was staying quiet under the heat. I also see that she is now the smallest of all the birds. Still today the others are out and about playing and she is not. She comes out to eat, but then heads back under the heat. So she is eating, and she's pooping (pooped on me this morning!). Her poop looked pretty normal, but did have a goldish brown color along with the white and darker green-brown that I normally see. I don't see her drinking water, but when I put her beak in water she will drink. She appears fine, aside from being lethargic compared to the others. Should I be concerned? Any suggestions? Should I try giving her some coconut water? Some guidance would be much appreciated.
Thanks.
Thanks.
