Same thing...Neosporin?![]()
I really should start proof reading....nah....it's more fun not proof reading.I'm still giggling over the newsprint.
But I concur. Just leftover from hatch. As long as it isn't too large, antibiotic ointment a couple times a day is what I would do.
Thank you!!! I'm still learning about this picture thing. I've examined further on the chick, now that she is a bit bigger I can see it is for sure attached to the belly. I'm thinking it's the cord hasn't come off right. She was the last one to hatch and was a couple days late. I have her by herself away from the others. THANK YOU all, I am still new at this incubation thing and raising them.View attachment 1107888 View attachment 1107893 Here are a couple pics ritzychickens had posted in a conversation. Sorry ritzychickens not trying to take over your thread. Just trying to help.
Sorry, told you I wasn't good at this picture thing or evidently not writing the right persons name. UGH!!I don't know much about Marek's that was actually someone else that suggested that. However the picture is kind of blurry. If you have the very first picture you posted on your conversation with Pyxis and me that was a good picture. Sorry don't mean to be a pain.
Kinda like the first one, but it is a dark color now like it's drying up. It bled a little at first but then now it just hangs there. Doesn't seem to bother her tho. Hoping it falls off. Thanks for the pics!!Welcome to BYC! Too young for Marek's. To m it looks like their yolks didn't absorb properly. Whatever you do, do not pick at it!
Does it look like either of these? Vent is where they poop, umbilicus is where the yolk goes.

Circle is umbilicus, arrow is vent
