Probably not a good idea to take anything that could cause bleeding. Sadly it is probably best to put up with the headache until you are sure there is no danger.

I already take meds for my restless legs and back (celebrex), but also heavy duty pain meds (central nervous system meds) which likely I am so used to now. But the Pregabalin definitely helps take the edge off any pain, and helps stop the legs from spasming.

I wonder if chickens can have pregabalin, I know they use Gabapentin for pain in animals. Hmmm wonder if they would help Marty and Curly. Since I started them on the Aspirin it’s like night and day how much more active they are. Marty is back to her old self, flogging me when I get to close to Mr P hahaha.

She's best getting checked out . I'm concerned about her neck big time

No headache, no neck ache, just a bit stiff, like I fell off riding.

But yes the big worry would be a tear in the menengial lining around the brain, which is a common injury with head thumps. I know of no less than 3 people who banged their heads and a month later developed confusion due to a subdural hematoma- bruise on the brain - causing pressure on the brain. These days it’s a simple procedure to correct - drill hole, drain. In the past though 100 yrs ago let’s say - different story!

Butterscotch - sure hope she remains doing well.

Look at those eyebrows! She’s related to Eugene Levy 😆

I honestly have no pain on my head! I just scratched it there no issues. I am reclining watching Midsomer Murders, surfing BYC.

Have you seen those Midsomer shows? I have been watching those BBC shows and we have Murdock Mysteries here on CBC (which I haven’t seen in a few years), oh and there is a really good show called My Life Is Murder out of Australia (starring Lucy Lawless from Zena Warrior Princess - remember that one 😳?). I love murder mystery shows.

I could become a lazy person sitting here watching TV all day! Good thing I have to feed and clean and clean animals hahaha!

I've watched all the Murdock Mysteries 16 seasons or so? Now again watching Midsomer Murders at season 13 so far. Funny script writers w/ dry humor you almost miss it! Nope... they don't make them this witty any more. Father Dowling, Sister Bernadette?, Rosemary & Thyme, Miss Marple, Poirot, etc etc. I guess working in the police dept & doing research jobs in the legal field gave me an appetite for enignmas. I think someone on here has a chicken named "Enigma" too?

Our 1st two backyard chickens ~ c. 2011 We got them as hatchlings, dried off babies right out of the incubator from a home school Mom's home.

That Darn Hen

So I got all suited up to go out in the cold drizzle, gather Niamh of the grapevine, and take her to the Hut. Im actually kind of looking forward having her perch on my arm and ride to the coop.

I get out there and she is nowhere to be found. I start to panic. Is she up in the magnolia tree somewhere? She had been looking to go higher?

Nope. She is notorious in the tree.

Did something get her while I was getting suited up?

There is no sign of a struggle of any kind.

Apparently, she decided it was too cold and wet outside and the warm dry nest with a heart panel was a better place to sleep.

Smart girl!

She’s a smart one! And likely whispering that ‘the Hooman is so cute when he’s fussing about’ hahaha

So far I am fine 😉 I think my neck will be sore tomorrow. But other than that I think I am good. The crack to my head seems to have cleared my vertigo 😳👍 but no headache, I’ve been watching Midsomer Murders (I am at season 9), and no issues or headaches.

Just checked Truly, she is upright and eating, saw her have a drink also.

Checked the chooks also and they are good.

Oh I was going to mention earlier that Butterscotch had been not quite right pst couple of days, and her crop didn’t seem to be down this morning so I dosed her with some Canestin, when I got home today she was much brighter and her crop was down.

My policy for anything crop related now is to jump on the treatment and not wait. Maybe I am just being paranoid, but it’s a simple thing to do giving the Canestin.

I’ll have to get my mum to video my dosing it maybe tomorrow I want to give Butterscotch some more.
I'd love to see a video of you doing that.

Tylenol will work for pain and not cause bleeding.
