I got some baby chicks a few days ago (not even gonna go into the fact that we didn’t get what we asked for)
Anyway, we went to tractor supply and got some chicks. They were severely overcrowded at the store and the meat birds looked sickly. (Not worried about them cause they look better). So my other chicks are kind of worrying me. I’m concerned about a few of them cause they’re poop looks weird and two of them have died already. Any advice or knowledge would be greatly appreciated. Pic of poop included.

Looks pretty normal to me. Chickens have that watery, peanut butter-y looking poop a few times a day because it comes out of a different part of the intestines, the caecum, which secretes that type of poop.

Here's a good link with pictures of a ton of different chicken poop. The range of "normal" is pretty wide.

Good luck!

I was just about to post about poop too! Thanks for the link. I worry they may be getting diarrhea every time I see a loose stool. It's like having babies, I swear! Chicken babies. haha

1 in every 10 poops or so is going to be soft/stinky compared to the rest, and sometimes weird colored. That is called cecal poop and it's gross because it is the chicken shedding intestinal lining  quite normal indeed

My chicks have a lot of loose/watery poops, but I did just see that they need additional grit with their feed, and we haven't been outside every single day so maybe a little sandbox will help...
