Hi I have 2 silkies that hatch 12/5/13 one started to crow and the other one hasn't yet his beak doesn't close and his comb is very low and he likes to fight with his brother but when I put them in for the night the one that crows will perch and the one that doesn't sits in the nest box with a chick under his wing. The chick isn't his is this normal or he is really a she

And the silkie that crows try to mate with one of my easter egger but one of my other easter eggers will stop it. She will come out of no where and push him off its so strange

Sounds like the he can be a she if she hasnt crowed yet. If it was a rooster I would assume he has been crowing since he was as early as a few weeks old testing out his vocal chords.

The silkie is just acting like a rooster. Even though he might be a mating couple with this other silkie, he might like to have his cake and eat it too.

With your other easter egger that will stop him from mating with her, shes just showing him dominance. Like "oh nu ah youre not getting any of this" or if he does "get her" she might retaliate and pull on the back of his neck feathers to still establish that shes in charge, not him.
